Find your way around the workspace

Move between the firm workspace, a company's daily work, company settings, and published procedures.

In this guide

The sidebar changes with the place you are working. The firm workspace lists cross-company tools; a company's workspace focuses on that company's work.

Open a company

Choose a row in Home to open its Dashboard. The company switcher above the sidebar destinations lets you search for and choose another company. Check the new company name before acting.

Choose the Mendiola mark or Home in the switcher to return to the company list. Firm-wide destinations are found there. The firm menu in the top bar lets you switch firms, change appearance, and sign out. On desktop, use Hide menu or Show menu in the top bar, or press ⌘B, to collapse or reopen the sidebar.

Work inside a company

Expand Files to open Purchases or Sales. Files is a group, rather than a combined list. Purchases and sales stay on their own sides throughout processing.

The company Dashboard has a Purchases / Sales switch for its overview. Changing that switch does not move a file from one side to the other.

Tax filings, Exposure, and Closing appear where their workflows are available. Closing is shown for monitored companies or companies where locking is enabled; its absence does not mean every company has completed its close.

Configure the company

Choose Company settings to find General, Tax forms, Closing, Drive, Purchases, Sales, Juan data, and Team. Some controls are shown only to admins. Admins configure the connection and processing controls; members can read the company information they are permitted to see.

The settings rail has a Return link back to the company's Dashboard. Firm Settings is a separate destination for firm administration.

Find procedures and help

Open Firm brain in the firm workspace for built-in workflow descriptions and published skills. Open the firm dropdown in the upper-right corner for Help Center and What's new, in both firm and company views. They open the public guides and product updates in a new tab.

On a small screen, the product's destinations scroll horizontally. The help center's article pages instead provide Browse help topics to expand the topic list. Browser Back remains useful when returning from a file to the list you came from.
