Review a company's audit-risk screen

Assess an accounting year, answer the report's questions, and interpret selection indicators without treating them as findings.

In this guide

Exposure → Audit risk screens a company against the cited BIR audit-selection criteria. It helps an accountant identify matters to inspect. It does not establish fraud, issue an assessment, or predict that the BIR will select the company.

Start an assessment

  1. Open the active company and Exposure → Audit risk.
  2. Choose the accounting year and start the assessment offered on the page.
  3. Wait for the books and available filed-return information to be read.
  4. Open the report and read its coverage and gaps before the headline score.
  5. Answer outstanding questions using supported company or filed-return information.

Members assigned to the company and admins with access can operate the screen. A connection or task-start failure is a failed run, not an assessment with no risk.

Books and filed returns

Books alone do not prove certain selection criteria. The report distinguishes book comparisons, filed-return evidence, and a person's answers.

Where available, the Books and filed returns table shows the quarters on file and the periods actually compared. A partial year is not silently treated as a full filed year. Missing books or unread returns should appear as coverage gaps.

Answers about a year belong to that year. Check the selected year before answering; an answer for one year should not establish another year's filed amounts. Company-wide facts, such as registration context, are handled separately.

Interpret indicators

Read Watch, Triggered, and unknown or missing information with their explanations and citations. Mendiola's own cut-offs are labelled as its own, rather than presented as statutory thresholds.

Inspect the supporting figure and the relevant filing before concluding that a discrepancy is real. A screen can point to a reconciliation question without proving the books or return are wrong.

Reassess after corrections

Use the report's offered recompute or assessment controls after supported facts change. Keep the older run's period and evidence in mind when comparing results.

The workflow reads Juan and never changes its books or BIR filing records. Its built-in Firm brain skill explains the screening procedure; the report remains the place to inspect this company's evidence and gaps.
